Wordless Wednesday or "Why my Living Room Smells Powder Fresh" or maybe "Why You Should Never Leave a 2 Year Old Alone With Baby Powder, Even For A Second"
The rantings and musings of a giveaway-loving, cloth-diapering, baby-wearing, breastfeeding Christian SAHM to a teenager, a toddler, and a new baby just trying to live a little greener on a budget.

Almost Wordless Wednesday: Last week's giveaway wins
I have to be honest: this is probably the one I'm most excited about so far! This is my brand new Bitty Bee by the Little Bee Cloth Diaper Co. I won this on Mama on a Green Mission, and the giveaway just said "Little Bee cloth diaper", so I asked if I could possibly get the Bitty Bee (newborn size) since we are trying to build up our newborn stash. It's a few dollars less, so I was hoping the answer would be yes. I'm planning on doing reviews after Joshua gets here, but already I am in love with this diaper. It is SO soft!
Spring Green Knickernappies I won from Wee Little Changes
The box was a little beat up after traveling all the way from the UK to good ol' Oklahoma, but the sling itself was perfect! (I have pictures of Jason trying it out with one of the babies I babysit. Maybe next Wordless Wednesday?)

New Teeth, New Steps, and a New Era in Life
Emma has had her front bottom two teeth for about 4 months now and is getting the top two front teeth now. (They're not visible in pictures yet but I'll post some when they are.) She has been walking holding on the things about that long, and started taking one or two steps about 6 weeks ago, but is actually WALKING now. I can't believe my little girl is growing up so fast! She'll be 1 year old very soon, and I can't decide if I'm excited for a new phase in her life and development or disappointed by the end of this era.

Fun in OKC
One week ago today we sold out house! Yay! The title company didn't mail us the papers until the last second and the Fed Ex guy put them under our door mat so the envelope wouldn't blow away, and we didn't find them in time to overnight them, so Emma and I took them up to the office Friday (and got lost multiple times thanks to terrible and incomplete directions from google maps and my nearly-nonexistent sense of directions) and it is officially sold! Jason was in Norman finishing up his continuing education credits at literally the last second (the day it was due) already, so we hung out with my dad's side of the family and went out to dinner with them before heading back home. We had a great time- I only wish I had remembered to bring my camera. Here are the pics I took on my phone though.

Mangum Rattlesnake Derby
Jason, Emma, and I went to the Mangum Rattlesnake Derby Yesterday with Michael, Jennifer, Becca, and Cullin. We had so much fun! I had never been before but had a lot of fun! It was kind of like a state fair/flea market/medieval fair combo with some random snakes thrown in.

I tried fried rattlesnake (not very impressed- it didn't have much flavor and was super-chewy) and we ate lots of "fair food" while we were there- turkey legs, funnel cakes, fresh lemonade, etc.
We also went through the vendor booths and found some fun things. Jason got a wallet and some random stuff for his office. I found a cool leather hair accessory and a magnetic ankle bracelet.
And of course we saw some rattlesnakes.

The happy no-pants dance

For reasons I don't fully understand, Emma will not wear her pants today! She took them off three times before I just gave up and let her go pants-less. But I learned from Melissa's mistake- we'll not be going au natural any time soon :)I tried to get some video of her on my phone but couldn't get it to turn out.
