30 Days of Thanks: Day 25

Today, on Kristen's birthday, I am thankful for all 6 of my brothers and sisters. I love you all very much, and I love knowing that my kids have so many aunts and uncles they can turn to for love and support. I'm so glad our family turned out just the way it did because I appreciate each one of you being a part of my life!

30 Days of Thanks: Day 23

Today I'm thankful for my mama. Now that I have kids of my own, I have a greater appreciation for all that she did for us. And I can't wait to see her & my stepdad for Thanksgiving today!

Another try?

I'm not sure if it's worth another try :) but I'm going to attempt to blog again. Facebook just seems so much easier, but this is a little more permanent, and there are a few people who don't Facebook, so I'll try to blog at least some. Plus, several giveaways give extra entries for promoting their giveaway in various ways on your blog. So I'll try again. Here's an update on life in the Wilson house. We are in the process of adopting 15 year old Ashley Wester. She's had a really tough life before she came to live with us in November, and she's adjusting to life with us. We're also expecting yet another family member at the end of this year. I'll find out next week if the new baby is a boy or girl, so I'm sure I'll post some ultrasound pics.

Fun in OKC

One week ago today we sold out house! Yay! The title company didn't mail us the papers until the last second and the Fed Ex guy put them under our door mat so the envelope wouldn't blow away, and we didn't find them in time to overnight them, so Emma and I took them up to the office Friday (and got lost multiple times thanks to terrible and incomplete directions from google maps and my nearly-nonexistent sense of directions) and it is officially sold! Jason was in Norman finishing up his continuing education credits at literally the last second (the day it was due) already, so we hung out with my dad's side of the family and went out to dinner with them before heading back home. We had a great time- I only wish I had remembered to bring my camera. Here are the pics I took on my phone though.

This past weekend, Jason was supposed to do a training at Altus and they told him at the last minute it was OKC, so Emma and I spent the day with my dad's side of the family!

First Family Portraits

First car trip

Emma and I went on our first car trip together on Thursday and Friday. After we went to the tag agency to get a new tag and then to a doctor's appointment for her and one for me. After we were both given a clean bill of health, we left for Mimi's (my mom) house. My sister Ashley had gone to see her grandmother and was going to have a one-night layover in Dallas before going home to Arizona. Since she hadn't gotten to meet her niece yet, we decided we would surprise her, and she sure was surprised! We spent the night there and then met my high school friend Travis for lunch and went shopping with Mimi after wards. We left around 7:30 for what should have been a 3-3 1/2 hour drive home but took a different route that Mimi's GPS said might even be faster. IT WAS NOT! We got home around midnight and then collapsed. We were both exhausted and slept in this morning. Here's some pictures with Aunt Ashley.
